Cheekh Episode 3 & 4 Review
The story of Cheekh is developing quite well. The Pakistani drama is raising an interesting issue which is somewhat common in the society, the depiction of two extreme classes and the way members of each class are showcased it’s quite engaging and entertaining at the same time. Ushna Shah shared the hint with the police inspector (Nayyar Ejaz) and he plots a scheme in his mind. He tries to get the deal fixed with Aijaz Aslam but Aijaz Aslam responds with wrath and warns him to leave his house. On the other hand Saba Qamar is shown concerned and worried about her sister-like friends’ sad and unfortunate and uncalled demise. She, along with other family members, is instructed to stay out of this case and stay away from the family of Ushna Shah by Aijaz Aslam.
Nayyar Ejaz tells Noor ul Hasan that the culprit is Bilal Ashraf and he heads towards his home and attacks him that’s when Aijaz Aslam comes forward to save his younger brother from Noor’s attack. Ejaz tries to sell the same story to Saba Qamar after calling her at the police station but she couldn’t digest the entire plot and rubbishes his allegations. But deep down there she starts to think more and more about the possibility of whether anything of such sort happened or not and she discusses it with her mother, who tells her to keep herself away from all this and shouldn’t meet the police inspector again, no matter what.

Dialogues are very nicely written and they are performed very well as well. The good thing about Cheekh is that is sticks to its plot, keeps a good level of suspense, there are times when audience feels that the actual culprit would be someone but then again the story changes and there enter other suspects. Noor Ul Hasan and Saba Qamar are the scene stealers and they perform brilliantly in Cheekh. Bilal Abbas is effective, ditto for Aijaz Aslam. Nayyer Ejaz pulls off a negative and cunning character with utmost ease, however in a few scenes he goes overboard and a little too loud but that’s perhaps the way his character is perceived.
ARY Digital’s drama Cheekh is one of the interesting and engaging dramas to watch and keep a track of, it has all the ingredients which a suspense drama should have, with good script, astounding performances and effective narrative style, Cheekh is highly recommended.
