Humayun Saeed is one actor who continues to flaunt his charms, who has the swag that boys cannot meet and a “Hero” who is often made fun of his age yet loved by his fans and filmgoers. They say, men get better with their age and maturity, Humayun Saeed is most certainly one amongst such. Humayun Saeed started his acting career through PTV (in 1995) and filmy career with Samina Pirzada’s Inteha (1999). Saeed not just collected a huge number fan-base but also PTV Award for Ab Tum Ja Saktay Ho and Nigaar Award for Inteha. In Inteha he played a negative character who also knew how to dance smartly.

Right from the beginning of his career, Humayun Saeed was appreciated in almost every character that he portrayed on-scree. Even in his second film No Paisa No Problem, he was widely appreciated for his performance. With films like Main Hoon Shahid Afridi, Humayun Saeed made sure that he is accepted by his audience as a character driven actor. With films like Bin Roye, Humayun Saeed became the king of box office and then started a journey of super hit films that includes the most hilarious and well-made Jawani Phir Nahi Ani series (2015 / 2019) and Punjab Nahi Jaungi (2017); both films are amongst the highest grossers.

There are films that did not do well at the box office that include Yalghaar and Project Ghazi but even in those films; Humayun Saeed’s performances were not questioned. Humayun Saeed is known for giving superhit films and his ventures as producer have been success at the box-office. Humayun Saeed knows the art of engaging and entertaining his audience with his films, performances, and subjects. With time he has proved whether it is a rom-com, serious or subject-centric film or a film with a high dose of emotional drama, he can ace them all. His characters from Fawad Khagga (PNJ), Sherry (JPNA) and Akbar (MHSA) are all so different that he deserves an applaud for bringing out multiple shades as an actor on silver-screen.

Humayun Saeed also acted in a Bollywood film (Jashnn) and played the character of an overprotective brother cum antagonist, released in 2009. The film did not do well at the box office because of below average performances by the main lead Adhyayan Suman and Anjana Sukhani. However, Humayun Saeed’s acting was praised by all the critics in India and viewers. It was a strong character that Saeed performed with gusto.

Humayun Saeed is the uncrowned king of Pakistani Cinema, after a long hiatus Pakistani film industry (particularly Urdu films) have seen a hero like Humayun Saeed. He is one of the fewest silver-screen actors of Pakistani Cinema whom we should celebrate based on their craft and business insights that help them create films that work for masses and classes.
