Pakistani dramas are known for their musically enthralling OSTs, Pakistanis and overseas audience have always appreciated the music of Pakistani dramas; Badshah Begum’s OST “Ishq Hai Daadha Saaein” is released and in one word it’s hummable. The OST is sung by Ali Pervez Mehdi and Saji Gul has penned the lyrics. Ali Pervez Mehdi has beautifully sung the song giving it a soft and soulful touch. The lyrics of the OST are powerful and strong. Lyrics talk about the tragic love story from Sindh ‘Sassi Punnu’ and also about the eternal peace and undying anguish at the same time. After listening to the OST of Badshah Begum, you will have a fairly decent idea of what the drama will be about.

Badshah Begum – Ishq Hai Daadha

Ishq Hai Daadha Saaein visually depicts the intense scenes and also gives a prelude to Badshah Begum. It sets the foundation and lets the audience know what to expect from the drama. There are soft emotional and romantic scenes, there are frames where sorrows and conspiracies are depicted, and there are scenes where characters are shown in distress, anger and misery. Badshah Begum’s OST technically encompasses almost all the elements that it promises to present in front of the viewers. The OST reminds me of Dasht (from my childhood); land cruisers, guns, romance, urban and rural contrast – it’s a ‘feel good’ yet emotionally charged track.

The music grows on you, it makes you hum along. This in itself is a sign of victory. The beats and melody of Ishq Hai Daadha Saaein are engaging and worth listening to.  Let us know what do you think about this OST!
