Azfar Jafri is known for directing films like Siyaah, Janaan and Parchi, all three films offer unique and different niche; Jafri’s upcoming film is Sherdil which features Mikaal Zulfikar, Armeena Rana Khan and Sabika Imam. This, Sherdil, is again a totally different niche for Azfar Jafri and it looks like he is experimenting with directing all kinds of films. The trailer looks a mix-bag of patriotism, romance, family drama and sacrifices which pilots give for their motherland. From the first look of the trailer of Sherdil, the journey of Mikaal Zulfikar from selection in Pakistan Air Force to training and then field operations will be shown in the film. Armeena Rana Khan looks suitable for the role that she is portraying.

In the trailer one can witness the rift between Mikaal Zulfikar (Pakitani pilot) and Hassan Niazi (an Indian pilot), Hassan is looking in the form and it is expected that he will once again impress his audience just like he did in Maalik. Let’s hope that Mikaal does better than his last film Na Band Na Baraati, which was a total disaster at the box-office.

Audience is liking the aerial combat scenes from the trailer. They are picturized decently. For any film that is based on pilots’ lives or air force missions, aerial scenes are very important to make audience interested. Let’s hope and wish that the film does good business at the box office.
