With heavy heart  I am reviewing the last episode of Raqeeb Se, a play which has set new standards in our Drama Industry. The play  may have not garnered massive views or TRPs but it would not be an exaggeration to call this serial Pure Masterpiece, a gem of  a play. Be its story telling, absolute brilliant writing and incredible performances the play is celebrating the true spirit of Womanhood and Pure Love. The emotion of Love has not ever been so incredibly addressed and portrayed before. The writing got a classy level like that of Manto or Tagore, all characters are twisted yet so human and lovable. Bee Gul deserves all praises for that! All pieces falls into the right place except the tragic death of Kashif.

Raqeeb Se very beautifully celebrates Women Empowerment through the portrayals of all of its four main characters. Particularly the character of Insha is pure gold, a true inspiration. Faryal Mehmood has given a powerful and memorable performance, her best work so far. Hadiqa Kiani’s powerful debut as Sakina is yet another best thing we love about this play. Then the all good, smiling and magnanimous Hajra jee  we simply adore, it is indeed Sania Saeed’s one of the best work. Iqra Aziz has also amazed us with her brilliant performance.  However it is the aura of Maqsood Sahab which has made us fall for him too. Maqsood Sahab’s character is written with such finesse and performed with equal brilliance by the legend Noman Ijaz that I am literally short of words to appreciate his work.

The famous love story of Maqsood Sahab and Sakina is just a fallacy. Maqsood Sahab himself admits that its not love but the regret which made him stuck for 20 years, love is nothing but merely a fallacy. It is so whelming to see Hajra Jee and Insha’s deprivations coming to an end. Maqsood Sahab bringing Gajras for Hajra Jee and writing letter to Insa telling her that she is being missed and also ended the letter saying ” Faqaad Tumhara Baap” has fully redeemed Maqsood Sahab for all his misconducts. In the end Kudos to the entire team of Raqeeb Se and particularly a huge applaud for Kashif Nisar for his brilliant story telling and Bee Gul for writing such a masterpiece.
