These double episodes of Phaans bring a drastic turn to the story  yet it is raising many questions in audience’s  minds which need their answers. After the unraveling of Sahil’s ugly and beastly side to the audience and to Sahil’s mother, one wonders that how come he fake his seizures? Well, we can give creative liberty for the makers for not showing Sahil’s true expressions on screen before but how come he can fake the fits? He used to get hospitalized for that and he gets medication for it too. Sahil’s mother’s state of utter shock is completely understandable and despite of all her wrong doings, we are feeling sympathy for her. Her shock is so disturbing and real, the most innocent and harmless person she is fighting for all the time is actually the beast who is a compulsive rapist. Sahil is disguising himself as autistic so no one can think of him as a culprit but with having so much affluence does he really need to do that? He could easily get away with it being normal too.

Sahil is shown as a split personality psychopath. The real Sahil is the monster, the normal person who has everything in his control and then there is the Sahil who wears the mask of an innocent and harmless mentally challenged man who seems the least suspicious person responsible for committing any sexual crime. The way Sahil confronts his own mother bring chills down our spines. Sahil’s real and normal self is so in control and cunning. He challenges his own mother that she cannot prove him guilty even in front of his own family because no one can ever going to believe her. He is right Siraaj and even her daughters are not ready to believe her in fact they are of the view that Nadia is under some great psychological stress.

Despite all odds, Nadia is resolute that she will stand against Sahil and she really wants to see him behind the bars suppressing her motherhood. Siraaj is not ready to let Nadia spoil their family name and honor. Nadia is already on Zeba’s side. It seems more like of Siraaj vs Nadia. As Siraaj clearly tells her that he will not let her ruin his family name. The breakout scene of Siraaj is also very intense but it speaks volumes about Siraaj’s negative side too he always supported his son knowing his beastly side or maybe he does not yet know that he is normal not faking?

Ali Tahir and Arjumand Rahim’s performances are simply incredible in this play. The episode ends when Sahil is proven innocent by the court. Sahil is free to haunt Zeba once again he is a thorough monster.
