After Sherdil, Azfar Jarfi is coming up with another entertainer featuring Hareem Farooq, Ali Rehman Khan, Aaminah Sheikh along with others in Heer Maan Ja. The teaser of Heer Maan Ja released recently and it falls under one of those teasers which are lengthier than 60 seconds and banks majorly on puns and humor. The music in the teaser is foot-tapping and quite catchy. Hareem looks gorgeous in the teaser, and Ali Rehman looks fresh. The canvas of Azfar Jafri’s this very upcoming film looks larger and colorful than his previous ventures Siyaah, Janaan, Parchi and Sherdil; let’s see how well the movie work at the box office. From the stretched teaser, Heer Maan Ja looks a mix-plate of emotions and comedy of errors with a flamboyant and impulsive girl (Hareem Farooq) on a crossroad of life bumping in to a shy, decent and quite reserved boy (Ali Rehman), plus there’s a baddie (Faizan Shaikh) as well who seems to bring something down in their lives. Other than this there’s a comic relief in the film and a lot of cameos by almost all those actors who’ve worked with the director before. There are high chances that the film might do well because of multiple cameos, which are usually added to speed up the pace of the film and save the film from being redundant or linear. Cameos, if used smartly can, be a good example of catalyst for the film altogether.

Heer Maan Ja is written by Owais Korai Baloch, who will be debuting his career in Pakistani cinema with this very film, so we can’t accurately predict his style of writing but over all from the teaser it looks like that he has done a decent job. The film is produced by IRK Films and Hareem Farooq, let’s hope that Heer Maan Ja will be a quality entertainer with genuine story line and some great performances to look up to along with fresh and quality-filled humor, which Pakistani cinema is in dire need of.
