5 Reasons Why You Shouldn’t Skip Mirzapur
Recently the trailer of Indian Original Series titled Mirzapur for Amazon Prime Video was released; the trailer is without a doubt spectacular. If not for all but definitely for those who like performance oriented, subject oriented and realist entertainment. If anyone is a fan of Gangs of Wasseypur, Omkara, Company or Shool then the trailer of Mirzapur will hook them from the very first frame. With an immensely able and dependable cast like Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal, Divyendu Sharma, Kulbhushan Kharbanda, Shweta Tripathi, Vikrant Massey, Amit Sial and Rasika Dugal this web-series is bound to make history.
Trailer Mirzapur
Mirzapur is directed by Gurmmeet Singh and its executive producers are Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani who earlier brought Inside Edge for Amazon Prime Video and it was a decent attempt as well. This web-series will start from 16th November, 2018. Following are 5 reasons why one cannot miss Mirzapur;
1 – Pankaj Tripathi’s Terror
Pankaj Tripathi is one of the finest actors to come out of Bollywood in recent times. Tripathi is strong enough to make a lasting impact with cameos (Sacred Games, Massaan, Newton etc.). In the trailer he is shown as Kalleen Bhaiyya, another name for terror. For Tripathi it will be a different character to play, from what I remember he was short-tempered in Gangs of Wasseypur, very calm in Gurgaoun and totally unique in Sacred Games. With a character like this in Mirzapur, he is going to surprise his fans.
2 – Divyendu Sharma’s Shift To Negative Shade
We remember Divyendu as Liquid from Pyaar Ka Punchnama and happy go lucky notorious boy from Chashm-e-Baddoor and Toilet – Ek Prem Katha; no one was expecting to see Divyendu as Munna Bhaiyya coming their way. In the trailer the way Divyendu delivers his dialogues it’s remarkable. It will be fun to watch Divyendu in not even a grey but black shade – as he is ruthless, power-hungry and manipulative in Mirzapur.
3 – Ali Fazal’s Turning Point
All I can say after watching the trailer of Mirzapur, this will be a turning point in Ali Fazal’s career. Fazal will be remembered as Guddu for a long time. From his diction to his body language, Ali Fazal aces it up. The way he outbursts in a few scenes shows a lot about his character, and that will be one interesting character to watch.
4 – Raw Script
The trailer is 2 minutes 45 seconds long but it is stuffed with some bang-on dialogues. Characters are distinctive and so are their dialogues. This fine detailing looks impressive from writers’ perspective. The character of Vikrant Massey (Babblu) is shown quiet and composed and that’s what his dialogue depicts in the trailer. One can spot the uniqueness of the script as it’s written very nicely (at least that’s what the trailer portrays).
5 – Entire Package Looks Brilliant
From performances to dialogues and from storytelling to direction, the trailer of Mirzapur is sheer brilliance. With power-packed dialogues and a cast which makes their characters realistic what else can you ask for?
Synopsis of Mirzapur
The story of Mirzapur is about a Mafioso Akhandanand Tripathi aka Kalleen Bhaiyya (Pankaj Tripathi) who has a power hungry son Munna (Divyendu) and one day Munna clashes with two brothers Guddu (Ali Fazal) and Bubblu (Vikrant Massey), what happens next is what this web-series is all about.
