Sunny Deol’s Mohalla Assi Ready To Release After 2 Years
Sunny Deol’s film Mohalla Assi is set on the premise of Kaashi and is hugely based on the dialect of Varanasi depicting the lifestyles of pundits, religious flag-bearers and foreigners with a dash of political exploiters. The tale is interesting as it is set in 90’s and highlights the scenario where business was added in to the religion with the help of local religious professionals. It also talks about the establishing a Temple in Ayodhia at the site of the Babari Masjid. How people from backward castes kept away and what happened at that point of time is what Mohalla Assi aims to showcase on celluloid.

The film is based on the book Kashi Ka Assi written by Kashi Nath Singh. In all these years this film was unable to get a clear chit from the CBFC because of the language, story and execution shown in the trailer but now the film is cleared with just one cut but it gets an A certificate.
From the trailer it is obvious that the film is going to she light on multiple aspects and it has some deep dialogues as well which are penned very carefully. It will be surprising as well as shocking for most of the cine-goers, we can see the difference in the trailer; it won’t be a usual film to watch.
