Saqib Malik’s upcoming directorial debut Baaji is already making waves with its casting, trailer and now music. All the songs which have recently been released from the film are very nice. From foot-tapping songs to melodious and romantic tracks, it seems like Baaji has it all. One must give credit to the music directors and Saqib Malik to bring out interesting and the so called ‘filmy’ music to the silver screen. Recently another song from Baaji titled Ik Tu released which is sung by Zeb Bangash; and it’s soulful.

Ik Tu – Baaji

The song Ik Tu features Meera and Osman Khalid Butt very aesthetically. The age difference is prominent between the two characters and so are their body language and expressions. The song look scenic and it makes the song looks beautiful plus it’s already very well sung by Zeb Bangash and brings out the emotions through her dense vocals. Meera is looking beautiful and aptly performs her part with utmost ease and conviction.

Lyrics by Shakeel Sohail are effective, this song is very aptly penned; depicting what a film-star, in this case Meera as Baaji, is looking forward to have in life. Shahzad Ali composed the song quite decently, and successfully pulls off the essence of the poetry.

Baaji is impressive on many levels and music will definitely stay with the listeners and audiences once the film will come out. It’s so refreshing and good to listen to good filmy songs to come out of Pakistani cinema which have repeat value and are penned creatively. The entire package looks brilliant.
