Happy Bhaag Jayegi was amongst the lighthearted films of Bollywood, which featured Pakistani father/daughter duo actor and actress Javed Sheikh and Momal Sheikh besides Abhay Deol, Ali Fazal, Jimmy Sheirgill, Diana Penty and Piyush Mishra. The team is back again with the sequel that is titled Happy Phirr Bhag Jayegi. This time there is confusion again, Happy is Sonakshi Sinha. There are a few characters from the first installment like Jimmy Sheirgill and Piyush Mishra. From the trailer it is obvious that Jimmy Sheirgill stands out and gives an amazing performance. Piyush Mishra is as usual, simply brilliant. The usage of Urdu language will again be the creative yet comic element in the film, just like it was in the first installment. Sonakshi Sinha badly needs a hit film as her last few films couldn’t generate business or talk-ability. This will be a crucial film for Sonakshi Sinha. Diana Penty and Ali Fazal are also part of the trailer and it looks like they have extended cameo appearances, let’s see what they have in store for their audience.

Happy Phirr Bhag Jayegi will be an out and out entertainer; they named it a “Run-Com” rather than a rom-com – which is a very smart move. The background score is fast, upbeat and very desi. The film is all set to release on 24th August 2018, we wish the entire team of Happy Phir Bhag Jayegi all the best. This time the film is based in China – that’s another twist!
