Dunk the psychological thriller airing at ARY Digital is one of the best in the running. The character of Amal is so artfully crafted that one wonders how she manages to manipulate every other situation in her favor? Performances are simply incredible be it Bilal Abbas or Sana Javed or Azekah Daniel every one has given their best. Audiences are anxiously waiting for case reopening of Professor Humayun; however, it seems that the play will turn more over Haider protecting Minaal and giving her due respect as his wife in his house. In this episode we have seen that Haider has been successful in awakening the almost dead conscience of Professor Anjum who is the actual cause of this whole incident. She comes out of her slumber of guilt and reopens the case at Police Station.

The excessive use of exaggeration looks like a flaw in the play, no decent and educated neighborhood goes to that extend of chalking at the gates and calling names. Saira’s neighborhood is not a lower middle class neighborhood, it is shown as a decent neighborhood where well to do and educated people reside, no educated people go to the extend of stoning at the house and chalking on the gate calling names just on basis of a mere accusation. We agree that these false allegations adversely affects family reputation but no one goes to that extend in a sane and educated neighborhood. So this whole exaggeration which seems an attempt to intensify the theme of the play actually serves none less than a flaw.

Amal has artfully ruined the image of Minaal in front of her own and Haider’s family. It seems that Minaal needs to be super positive and consistent to make her own place in the house. Haider stands at her side like a true Man. He shows Amal how worthless she has become for him and reminds her that if he can fight for her as his fiancé then in this case Minaal is his wife and for her honor he can go at any extend. Will Haider and Minaal be able to show Amal’s ugly face to the world?
