The trend of web series is still new for Pakistani filmmakers and this is why experimentation is at its peak. Urduflix, the first Pakistani OTT platform, recently released Dulhan Aur Aik Raat, a short film that is directed by Rao Ayaz Shahzad and features Alizeh Shah in the titular character. The story of Dulhan Aur Aik Raat revolves around Alizeh Shah who runs away from her wedding to get settled with the love of her life. Her journey from Karachi to Hyderabad becomes a little strange as she encounters the unexpected at every step. What happens next is what Dulhan Aur 1 Raat is all about.

There are many scenes that offer no logic and sense. The scenes are amateurishly written and the direction is very hasty. The editing is another example of a hurried attempt. The film had the potential and could have performed really well, provided it would have been dealt with some focus on script, performances and logic.

Viewers wonder why a guy would not break the glass wall when betrayed and let someone walk out of his life by double-crossing him. Till the end of the film, one thing couldn’t make sense, why people got killed – seriously there was no reason and no justification was also provided.
