Everyone is a fan of Thor and Netflix. But the question is, ‘Is that enough?”. I recently watched Extraction on Netflix. The cast got me excited because it features ChrisHemsworth, PankajTripathi and RandeepHooda. So what Extraction offers to its viewers? Let’s find out.

The kid of an Indian Drug Lord is abducted by Drug Lord of Bangladesh and the assignment to extract him goes to Tyler (Hemsworth). What happens next is a hard to believe, impossible to digest and ‘what on earth is happening’ kind of series of incidents.

The story-line is paper-thin and very lousy. Dialogues are the weakest element of Extraction. They just dont make sense.

Pankaj Tripathi is reduced to only one scene and that too doesn’t display his pluses. It is sad to see him so underutilised. Randeep Hooda is such a fine actor but making him John Travolta look alike from Pulp Fiction was a bad idea.

Chris Hemsworth plays his part well but he is still very much in Thor universe.
Minus the stunts, camera work and a few action scenes, Extraction is not more than a Baaghi franchise. One Man Against An Entire Nation/City – call it whatever you want to.

Netflix needs to up its game, during the quarantine most of the content released on Netflix is quite below average and only banks on the hype.

You will like Extraction if you like films like Baaghi3, Bharat, War, Commando, John Wick and alike.
