Not many from this generation might not know the third son of the great Raj Kapoor and youngest brother of Randhir and Rishi Kapoor but he had a chocolaty boy personality back in 80s. Rajiv Kapoor (late) hardly did 20 films from 1983 till 1990 and then took the backseat because of the box-office disasters associated with his name. He also directed a film with Rishi Kapoor and Madhuri Dixit in the lead titled Prem Granth. Rajiv Kapoor (late) will be seen in his last film after a long hiatus of 22 years (Aag Ka Dariya released in 1990) in Toolsidas Junior produced by Ashutosh Gowarikar and Bhushan Kumar. The film also features Sanjay Dutt in a significantly strong character.

The story of Toolsidas Junior revolves around a young kid Toolsidas Jr. (Varun Buddhadev) who shares a strong bond with his father (played by Rajiv Kapoor); how he wants to become the pride for his father who lost snooker’s final and ridiculed by many. The trailer takes us through the journey from where things start and leads to where it can potentially reach. The film looks like a predictable ‘feel good’ kind of cinematic experience that brings smiles and tears to everyone who is emotionally attached to their families.

Sanjay Dutt will be seen in an interesting character of Salam, an expert snooker player and mentor to Toolsidas Junior. The film is written and directed by Mridul Mahendra and release on 4^th March 2022.
