ARY Digital drama serials are usually intense and highlight different issues, watching such serials make viewers emotionally drained. Such plays serve their purpose best by raising societal issues.  Surprisingly, this season a couple of  ARY Digital plays are light-heart love-stories; and they aren’t very intense either. Following are 3 dramas currently airing on ARY Digital TV that you shouldn’t miss.

Pehli Si Muhabbat

An exquisite love story revolving around Aslam and Rakshi, Pehli Si Muhabbat is a tale of unrequited love beautifully penned by Faiza Iftikhar. The characters and situations seem so real and lifelike. Sheharyar Munawar and Maya Ali are in the lead cast and their cracking chemistry is surely a treat to watch. The love and fervor that Aslam and Rakshi has for each other is the actual spirit of the story. Hassan Sheharyar Yasin in the avatar of a grumpy and conservative Akram is quite interesting and unique. Rabia Butt as bold and beautiful Nargis adds colors to the play. Pehli Si Muhabbat is a must watch serial.

DUNK

Dunk is based on a true incident where a professor is wrongly accused  by his female student for physically harassing her. The plot is intriguing and the way it is executed is simply brilliant. Dunk despite so much controversies attached with it, is great in terms of its plot and performances. Bilal Abbas as Haider is someone who is being used by his own fiancé ( Sana Javed) is just incredible  and because of that wrong allegations Professor Humayyun (Noman Ijaz) commits suicide. Sana Javed for the first time coming in a pure negative role and she has given an impeccable performance, her character Amal is shown as an extremely powerful girl and someone who has everything in control. Dunk is indeed a good thriller.

Shehnai

The newly started play with three episodes down, Shehnai is a light heart comedy. Although it’s not that great in terms of story  and execution but performances are good. Ramsha Khan as stubborn Bakht gives us reminisces of Samia of Ghissi Pitti Muhabbat. The best thing we love about this play is Affan Waheed’s cute performance, he plays a guy who is a thorough gentleman and who is engaged to Bakht but he has a secret girlfriend too. He wants to tell his parents about his love interest but also he does not want to break Bakht’s heart. An Interesting light heart watch.
