The music scene in Pakistan is gradually improving with many singers coming up with singles and tracks that are liked and appreciated by music lovers. There are also some branded platforms that are doing their best to improve the pop music scene in Pakistan, and this is something that needs to be appreciated. One cannot deny the fact that Pakistan has produced some amazing musicians, singers and lyricists who have, multiple times, created melodies that became very famous and people have loved them all around the world where music is listened to and understood.

After the launch of the well-received first episode, singer and songwriter Ali Ashraf recently released Episode 2 of Season 1 of his musical travel show, My City Jam. The name of the episode is Music Mela that is filmed in the most scenic surroundings of Hunza (Northern Pakistan), against the grand Passu Cones. It is so good to see that locals from Hunza and music artistes from all over Pakistan joined to rejoice the authentic music of Pakistani soil. The beauty of My City Jam lies in the uniqueness of songs, the stories that they share and all about the people of Pakistan. That is a commendable move.

While remembering about his experience and all about the shooting of Episode 2 in Hunza, Ali Ashraf shared;

“the stage is where music takes a whole new life and meaning for any artist. And when the stage is set at an elevation of 2,438 meters, nestled among the highest peaks of the world, the epic Passu Cones – the entire experience is elevated to a whole new level. Combined with the warmth of the Hunzai People who hold music very close to their heart and culture, this entire journey is one of my most memorable ones.”

Episode 2 (Season 1) – ‘My City Jam’

The interesting thing is that, upcoming videos and episodes will revolve around multiple cities from Pakistan like Karachi, Lahore and Peshawar and those episodes will feature singers and musicians like Sajjad Ali, Arif Lohar, Ali Azmat, Strings, Saeen Zahoor and others.
