Vital Signs is synonymous to “Pakistani Pop Music Scene”. Thanks to Shoaib Mansoor for bringing Vital Signs – the band in to the limelight with their sensational and patriotic hit single “Dil Dil Pakistan”. When the song released it was not only an instant hit but the music was loved by every music lover whether living in and out of Pakistan. Vital Signs is considered as one of the most successful pop and rock bands of Pakistan and the band was the first one to go on an international music tour to perform their musical act. Rohail Hyatt, Nusrat Hussain, Shahzad Hassan and Junaid Jamshed were the key members of Vital Signs. Amir Zaki, Rizwan Ul Haq and Salman Ahmed were also at the point associated with Vital Signs.

Dil Dil Pakistan 

Vital Signs released four music albums from 1989 to 1995 i.e. Vital Signs, Vital Signs 2, Aitebar and Hum Tum. Junaid Jamshed started his solo career in 1994 with the album “Tumhara Aur Mera Naam” and then released another album “Us Raah Per” in 1999. Us Raah Per is considered as the most successful and critically acclaimed album of Junaid Jamshed. The Album featured musical gems and it became the bestselling music album. In 2001 Junaid Jamshed released his last music album titled Dil Ki Baat and then in 2004 he announced that he has devoted his life to Islam and left the music industry.

Music lovers and 80’s kids and youth can never forget Junaid Jamshed and Vital Signs. Here are just a few musical gems that were released by Vital Signs in the times when Pop music was fairly a new thing in Pakistan and we did not have many local pop and rock bands.

It won’t be wrong to say that many musicians and singers idolize and still idolize Vital Signs and entered the music scene just because of them. They actually helped in strengthening the “quality” pop music culture in Pakistan. Vital Signs was a band that not only produced great musical compositions but also came up with meaningful lyrics. From peppy numbers to soothing romantic tracks and from patriotic songs to playful songs they mastered the art brilliantly.

Interesting Fact: Vital Signs is a medical term that is used to describe the most essential medical signs that are significant for a body’s vital functions. Pulse rate, temperature of body and breathing rate are amongst the few vital signs.
