Welcome To New York – No One’s Ready To Welcome It
What happens when a multi-starrer film is announced? People get high hopes with the film that it will either offer great performances or amazing script. A trailer is a 2 minute presentation which makes people either get excited or get bored with it, the very first time they watch it. Welcome To New York will release on 23rd February, 2018 and it stars more than many actors. But the problem is, none of them or let’s say most of them aren’t crowd pullers and the biggest turn of is that the trailer looks a little too much forced to tickle the audience. Before digging any further, let’s watch the trailer of Welcome To New York
Welcome To New York – Trailer
Chakri Toleti is known for his Telugu/Tamil film Billa 2 along with a couple other films, Welcome to New York will be Chakri’s debut Bollywood release as director/writer. The trailer fails to impress and is stuffed with repeated jokes ranging from Gabbar Singh’s recreational act to Karan Johar’s typical reality-show style antics. In addition to these, Riteish Deshmukh, a bankable actor, will again be seen as a filler and relief provider with archaic punchlines. Sonakshi Sinha needs a good film desperately, as she has had quite a bumpy ride with her last 2 to 3 releases. Diljit Dosanjh impressed in Udta Punjab but here, in Welcome To New York, he looks out of sync with the character.
Rana Daggubati is also shown in the trailer; it looks like he’ll be performing a cameo as most of these scenes, from the trailer, looks forcefully created. On a serious note, this film looks like a venture completed during the promotion and rehearsals of IIFA Awards 2018.
So far, Welcome To New York fails to create any hype or excitement in the audience; the only saving grace would be a huge fan following of Diljit Dosanjh which is from Punjab’s side mostly. Else, this film offers nothing interesting.
