If you have watched Nil Battey Sannata then you must be aware of the kind of director Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari is. The director is back with yet another film which is a romantic situational comedy titled Bareilly Ki Barfi. The film features Ayushmann Khurana, Kriti Sanon and Rajkumar Rao in pivotal characters. The film is set in a small town and highlights the life of a girl Bitti and her unusual style of living. Let’s see what Bareilly Ki Barfi has to offer to its viewers.

Bitti (Kriti Sanon) is a modern girl who lives in a small town of Bareilly with her parents played by Seema Pahwa and Pankaj Tripthy. One day she decides to run away from her home and to kill boredom buys a book titled “Bareilly Ki Barfi” while reading the book she develops a liking for the author of the book and gets to know that the author also lives in Bareilly. She cancels the idea of running away from home and returns home to find the author. In pursuing her search she stumbles upon Chirag Dubey (Ayushmann Khurana) who helps her find the author of the novel Pritam Vidrohi (Rajkummar Rao). But things aren’t that straight, Bitti develops liking for Pritam, Chirag starts to fall in love with Bitti and Pritam starts to like Rama (Bitti’s friend). What happens next is what Bareilly Ki Barfi is all about. You have to watch it to explore it.

Performance wise, Bareilly Ki Barfi is fabulous as it features some great and earnest performances by its lead actors. Ayushmann Khurana delivers an amazing performance, he is effective, doesn’t go over the top; he gives what is required from his character. Rajkummar Rao is a treat to watch, his transformation from a timid and shy guy to person trying to look like a goon is commendable. The emotional scenes by both the actors are outstanding. Kriti Sanon looks gorgeous and performs the character of Bitti with complete understanding. She looks and breathes the role of Bitti effortlessly.

Pankaj Tripathy brings humor and fluently in even simplest dialogues ditto for Seema Pahwa. The guy playing the character of Munna (Ayushmann’s friend) is dependable and deserver appreciation. The spinal cord of Bareilly Ki Barfi is its script and finest writing. The film is packed with brilliant dialogues which are simple, effective and easy to pave way in to the hearts of the viewers.

Music of the film is as per the mood and songs are nice to listen. Direction is first rate, it’s simple and director completely knew what he wanted. Bareilly Ki Barfi is a must watch film, it is pure family entertainer and offers high quality of entertainment. You will not be able to find any dull moment in the film and it keeps you engaged from the first scene to the last.
