James Charles is losing thousands of subscribers as we speak. The young YouTuber, James Charles with his over 16 million subscribers on YouTube has been a part of Tati’s YouTube channel for as long as well all can remember. Long before he became a star in his own right, way before he got his first million subscribers.

It all started when James Charles went on his Insta Stories to promote Sleep Vitamins by SugarBear Hair. Tati Westbrook owns her own vitamin brand named Halo and she felt that this promotion which seems harmless is actually a betrayal. Tati has been an avid promoter of James Charles on her channel. From promoting his code at Morphe to the launch of his eye shadow palette, she has been very vocal about what she feels for James.

Tati’s Social Media Outburst On James Charles

Within a few hours of James Charles post on Instagram, Tati went live on Instagram stories and talked to her followers about her feelings.

She asked her followers, “Who is having a crappy day raise your hand, I feel like I have been someone who’s been super supportive to my friends… friends just support each other, that’s how it should be. I’m just having one of those days where it’s just smacked in my face.”

She went on about 2 minutes about how she feels alone in the beauty community and how she feels betrayed.

James Charles Apology

James Charles’s apology was issued on Instagram of all the things. Here is what he had to say about the issue:

“I want to publicly apologize to my close friend Tati,” he wrote. “She has been like a mother to me since my first days in this industry and has given me more love, support, resources, and advice than I could ever ask for. This weekend I did an Instagram story for Sleep Vitamins that I’ve been taking, because the brand helped me with security when the crowd around me at Coachella became unsafe.”

According to him, he did not receive any money from the brand (DUH). Here is what more he had to say in his defense:

“I did not think of the competition, which was a major oversight,” he continued. “I’ve supported Tati both online and off like she has done for me and am devastated that I hurt someone that I truly love and have endless respect for.”

BYE SISTER

Tati created and posted a 43 minute video on her YouTube channel today with the title BYE SISTER. As evident from the title, this video marks the end of Tati-James friendship.

Tati openly and categorically said “Fame, power and a fat bank account will change almost anyone. And if you don’t have people that tell you to your face that you’re doing the wrong things you will change,” she explained. “I tried to be that person to you James, I really tried. I don’t think there is any getting through to you and I don’t want to be friends with you. I don’t want to be associated with you and I need to say that very publicly so that this chapter can just be closed.”

She went on to say a lot more about her relationship with James and how she and her husband have helped James over the year.

Long story short, James Charles and Tati are no longer friends and it is what it is.
