Performance wise, every actor with meatier role or otherwise stands tall in Laal Kabootar. Ahmad Ali Akbar looks the character and naturally sinks in to the skin of it. Ahmed Ali Akbar astounds his audience in the main lead and the spark which was visible in films like Siyaah, Karachi Se Lahore and others turns in to full-fledged fire in Laal Kabootar. This actor deserves to be given more chance with interesting and challenging scripts. Mansha Pasha also excels in her character. She is believable, spontaneous and she is very confident.

Rashid Farooqui is revelation; his scenes are class-acts, ditto for the actress who plays his wife. The actor playing the character of Ahmed Ali Akbar’s father (named Akbar) is phenomenal; he engages his audience and leaves them impressed. He should get more roles.

Kamaal Khan as the director is first rate and gives one of the finest Pakistani films, which is no lesser than any Netflix film or series based on its content, direction, execution i.e. complete package. Kamal Khan should not rest after delivering his first film; he should immediately get on the field and start making another film as interesting and moving as Laal Kabootar. The script of Laal Kabootar is exceptional and it is fresh. The overall production quality of the film is also commendable. Hats off to producers Kamil Cheema and Hania Chima.
