From Emraan Hashmi’s Bae to Humayun Saeed’s Admirer – Urwa Hocane
As APJ Abdul Kalam once said, “It’s a crime to dream small”, finally the time has come when dreamers are turning out the real leaders and those who are merely accepting each and every of the proposal are getting outdated. Actually, the latter kinds are avid followers of the phrase ‘beggars can’t be choosers’ and they accept each and everything, taking it for granted.
But here we are bringing you the success story of VJ-cum-actress Urwa Hocane who seems to take away the Pakistani entertainment industry by storm. There might be many reasons behind Hocane’s upraise at the entertainment scenarios but one can’t deny her urge to do big rather than getting satisfied on whatever comes her way.
Like many other Pakistani actresses, Urwa Hocane was offered a role in the Indian film, and unlike many of them, she declined this offer due to bold scenes and not getting much of the meaty role in the film. It will be relevant to mention here that the Pakistani actresses, who went on just grabbing such Bollywood films, without taking interest in the scripts and their role, ended up their careers disastrously.
Similarly, ‘Punjab Nahi Jaungi’ actress was offered a role in the Indian film ‘Azhar’ alongside Emraan Hashmi. But she was quick to decline this offer due to her bold scenes and not getting enough of the meaty roles in the film. Moreover, she also asserted that she would be very much okay in the Pakistani industry if meaty roles are not there for her in Bollywood. In short, she didn’t compromise and took things for granted.
Looking her urge to do big, destiny had different plans for her, and up the latest, she is one of the most wanted actresses in Pakistani industry. Those who only know that Urwa Hocane is up with the big projects like ‘Na Maloom Afraad 2’ and ‘Punjab Nahi Jaungi’, need to know that there is still much in Hocane’s wallet.
Furthermore, she will be seen in the films like ‘Rangreza’ and ‘Jhol’, which are likely to hit the screens by end of this year.
The point which everyone needs to know is Urwa Hocane’s popularity is growing exponentially. Therefore, film-makers are keen to have her on the board.
It will be pertinent to mention here that, Urwa Hocane went on replacing Imaan Ali for ‘Jhol’, which was earlier titled ‘Two + Two’. And the similar thing happened with Sana Javed, who got replaced by the elder Hocane in ‘Rangreza’.
