Tiger Zinda Hai Reminds of Commando, Rambo & xXx

Tiger Zinda Hai Under the Umbrella of Commando, Rambo & xXx

Good news for Salmaniacs is that Salman Bhai is coming back after a disastrous flop Tubelight, with Tiger Zinda Hai. This film is the sequel of Ek Tha Tiger, yes the same film which was banned in Pakistan just because a Pakistani spy falls in love with an Indian Spy. Anyway, after the being directed by Kabir Khan for the first part, Salman Khan’s Tiger Zinda Hai is directed by Ali Abba Zafar (the same guy who directed Sultan). The trailer of the film is out; let’s first watch it before dissecting it.

Trailer Tiger Zinda Hai

The story-line of Tiger Zinda Hai is quite obvious with the trailer; it revolves around how 25 Indian nurses are taken as hostage in Iraq by the antagonist and when it comes to bring them all back to India they don’t have anyone else as fittest as the Tiger (Salman Khan). So, Tiger is sent on the mission where he is accompanied by none other than Pakistani spy who was his partner in the prequel i.e. Zoya (Katrina Kaif). Together they plan the escape of 25 Indian nurses along with the destruction of the empire of Abu-Usman. Being a typical Bollywood film which looks hugely inspired from Hollywood-ish stunts, it is obvious the Tiger will accomplish the mission that too with a twist, as it will give filmmakers another reason to come out with 3rd installment.

The trailer is impressive in terms of cinematography, crisp editing, brilliant stunts and some power-packed dialogues involving Salman Khan and his very-own style. The visual treat is definitely present in the trailer of Tiger Zinda Hai. Filmmakers have smartly knitted the portion where they emphasized that in this film there is nothing against Pakistan in fact Pakistani and Indian agents will team up to make world realize that they are both against terrorism. Full marks to the smartness!

Let’s talk about the stunts a little, no wonder that Salman Khan’s fans are loving him in this theater and must be watching it repeatedly over YouTube but those who have scene films from mid-80’s onwards will agree that almost 70% of the action sequences are big-time copied from old (read Classic) Hollywood flicks of Arnie (Arnold Schwarzenegger), Sylvester Stallone, Van Damme and Vin Diesel. There are scenes which look inspired from films like Commando, Rambo, xXx and a few from Van Damme TV commercials. But as long Salman Khan is doing these stunts convincingly, his fans will go Gaga over him. And there is no doubt that the film won’t work, it will be a blockbuster – for sure.

Let’s wish Tiger Zinda Hai all the best to release in Pakistan and same wish for Pakistani films like Rangeza and Arth (if TZH releases in Pakistan) which are releasing on the same date.
