Punjab Nahi Jaungi Trailer Review – It’s A HIT

Nadeem Baig is all set to raise the bar in Pakistani cinema, I am claiming it because I was there at the Theatrical Trailer Launch of Punjab Nahi Jaungi. The trailer looks not only grand but it is filled with amazing punches, great cinematography, exceptional framing and lovely music. Before diving any further, let’s have a look at the trailer of Punjab Nahi Jaungi here:

Trailer Punjab Nahi Jaungi

After Jawani Phir Nahin Aani, which was a mass entertainer, Humaiyun Saeed, Mehwish Hayat and Ahmed Ali Butt will again be seen in Punjab Nahin Jaungi along with Urwa Hocane, Azfar Rehman and veterans like Sohail Ahmed, Waseem Abbas and Naveed Shahzad. The star-cast is impressive and it is evident with the trailer that the veterans are given with some seriously effective dialogues. Well, what can you expect with a writer like Khalil Ur Rehman Qamar. Qamar is the best we have in the industry hands down.

The film is set in Faisalabad and Karachi, so expect a grand cultural “Mela” from Punjab Nahi Jaungi. The music is fantastic, originality is felt and it does not remind of any cross-border song.

One thing that used to lack in Pakistani films will hopefully not be seen in Punjab Nahi Jaungi and that is brilliant script with master-stroke dialogues which have repeat value, for instance:

Karachi Ki Ladkiyan, you don’t know; Dimaagh mehdood, taaleem ziada (Humayun Saeed)

Mohabbat Ho Gayee? Mohabbat nahin beebo jee, Understanding (Mehwish Hayaat)

Jeet kar jaounga, yaa phir jeet kar dikhaounga (Humayun Saeed)

Aap toh chunaab chhor kay, samunder per jaa rahay ho (Urwa)

Mohabbat mein aurat say koi jeeta nahin hai, Aur nafrat mein aurat ko koi haraa nahin saka (Sohail Ahmed)

This Eid, viewers will be in for a treat as Punjab Nahin Jaungi coming with an élan filled with emotional scenes, power-packed drama, excellent music and powerful script with some amazing performances. Nadeem Baig’s Punjab Nahi Jaungi have written “HIT” all over it, if it manages to deliver with it promises in the trailer.
