KEBABISTAN – For Mighty Meat-Lovers

For those who are meat lovers and can’t stay away from the aromatic appealing and sinful taste of every bite of meat, today’s review will make them drool for sure. It was my 9th wedding anniversary and I wanted to surprise my better half by taking her to a dinner with our 9 months’ only boy. I had a few A-line restaurants on my fingertips, which she loves to visit (most are in Zamzama or Clifton). Literally, accidentally we spotted a newly established restaurant in Gulshan-e-Iqbal, near Disco Bakers named KEBABISTAN. The aroma of Barbeque just made us lose our minds and I had to stopover. Being the experimental kind of partners which we are, we immediately agreed to dine-in because what we smelled and looked was a definite tryout.

We reviewed the menu of KEBABISTAN and found out that some really amazing items were listed on that; the food items which we can only find on Boat Basin and Zamzama. Just to tryout the taste and get firsthand experience we ordered Lebanese Boti, Beef Afghani Boti, Beef Seekh Kabab and Beef Bihari Boti with a Garlic Nan and a Paratha.

Lebanese Boti was tasty and got full marks on its tenderness, juiciness and ultimate taste. It was perfectly done and was also way too economical.

Afghani-Boti

Afghani-Boti

Afghani Boti was okay, nor too good neither too bad. It was what you might call a good one and can only hope that the room for improvement can be filled sooner. Afghani boti was also done to perfection in terms of being tender, soft and easy to handle.

Seekh-Kabab-Beef

Seekh Kababs (Beef) were yummy. They were juicy, spicy and we enjoyed eating them without nan or paratha.

Bihari-beef-Boti

Finally, Bihari Boti (Beef) was another highlight. Done to perfection, lovely aroma, great taste and a very fine example of scrumptious meet falling apart with tenderness.

Kebabistan-1

At the end of the dinner both my wife and I were delighted with our spontaneous decision as well as stuffed with some hardcore mighty meaty meal. The entire dinner cost us under 1300/- PKR (including a generous tip). What else can you expect for a reason to be happy and rejoicing and cherishing such a great day of one’s life. KEBABISTAN is a definite tryout for “MEAT-Lovers”; highly recommended. The interior is nice with 3 styles of sitting options, Charpayee, Bar Style and Chairs with Tables (couldn’t get the pictures taken because even being a new entrant in the market, it was crowded). KEBABISTAN can easily win a 4/5 rating.
