Music brings the best of patriotism in masses. In Pakistan, we are blessed to have patriotic songs in abundance. All those songs have marked their victory in the hearts of the listeners. Music composers, lyricists and singers have always given their utmost dedication with heart and soul to make those songs not only impactful but also memorable. Such is a song titled “Ae Raah-e-Haq Kay Shaheedon” which was originally sung by Naseem Begum, composed by Salim Iqbal and penned by Musheer Kazmi.

Decades after, the most talked about music show “Coke Studio” features the same patriotic song sung by multiple singers in its 9th season. Coke Studio 9 dedicates this phenomenal patriotic song to all those who lost their lives in saving Pakistan (in any way). It is dedicated to the sons and daughters of our beloved motherland PAKISTAN.

Coke Studio 9 will start from 13th August 2016, just a day before the Independence Day of Pakistan. The song is produced by Strings. The song features the gigantic names of music industry of Pakistan, including Amjad Sabri (Late). The song has managed to trend over Twitter in Pakistan on the day it is released with more than 15 million impressions but there are some singers who have outdone themselves in singing this tough national song.

To start with, Sanam Marvi takes the song to a whole new level. Naseebo Lal has the raw voice of Pakistan with authenticity and it is beautifully supported by Jabar Abbas and Rafaqat Ali. Rahat Fateh Ali Khan’s voice is impeccable blend of softness and gives a melodious angle to the song. Naeem Abbas Rufi is at his best with high notes and mellowed base. On the contrary, Abida Parveen adds softened and earthy impact to the song. Experience the goosebumps with Amjad Sabri (Late), one cannot ignore his command over vocals and music. Finally, Ali Sethi closes the track with perfection.

There are other singers in the song who have done remarkably well to give the song husky, haunting and melodious feel. Special mention for the galvanizing opening lines by Shahzad Nawaz, just brialliant. Looks the upcoming season of Coke Studio 9 will surely be a hit. All the best to the entire team of coke Studio 9.
