#BilloIsBack Has Taken Social Media With A Storm
Strepsils is known for bringing Acappella in Pakistan with a bang. I remember the first song I listened to from Strepsils, I was like ‘wow’ this is amazing. Recently the latest song with the title Billo Is Back is released from Strepsils, Ali Noor is the music director and the song is sung by Mehdi Ahsan and Mehak Ali. From the lyrics to the beat of the song (it’s Acappella) and from the art direction to the interesting characters shown in the music video, everything seems really very nice and on point. Strepsils is definitely doing great in terms of introducing Acappella in Pakistan with established musicians.
#BilloIsBack – Acappella Song
Billo Is Back is loaded with some intense Panjabi lyrics and the way the song is sung it’s quite impressive. Even the choreography of the song is really good and fresh. It looks an exciting video and the excitement level is high, very high. The song is loaded with the energy and it’s very positive sign. Pakistani music scene has always been inspirational and there’s no need to get the surprise as in 90’s and 2000’s Pakistani pop music (particularly) was at its peak and people loved it not only in Pakistan but worldwide.
It is so refreshing that Strepsils has come out and invested resources in creating an exciting song which has brilliant choreography as well. Besides a good and happy go lucky Acappella song, Billo Is Back has something more to say and that is it’s pretty normal for a woman to enjoy her wedding and all ther functions as well, like mehndi, maiyon and others. In the song the girl asks
Kia Hua Main Apni Shaadi Pe Dance Nahin Karsakti?
(What happened? Can’t I dance on my own wedding?)
These lines share a mindset of stereotypical society in which we live in, from the makers point of view it is question for everyone. Why can’t a girl enjoy on her wedding celebrations?
People have loved the song so much that the hashtag of #BilloIsBack is trending on Twitter in Pakistan for the last few hours. Giving a huge competition to all the political and other hashtags which are currently on Twitter’s panel. And this speaks volumes, how much people have loved this new song.
Here’s what Twitteraties are tweeting about #BilloIsBack, have a look!
This wedding song proves that we don’t need instruments for producing music. This is acapella, a song without instruments. #BilloIsBack
