Best Designers from Pakistan Fashion Week Doha – A Rundown
The 2nd Mercedes Benz Pakistan Fashion Week Doha (PFW Doha) was commenced from 30th April till 1st May, 2015. While some collections at the event shocked the audience, the others completely rocked due to their exceptional creativity. To say it precisely, to a great extent, Pakistani designers totally fired up the ramp and earned much appreciation in the international arena with this show.
I can go on and on and put together a long list of my favorite designers from the event. However, I would rather designs do the talking and keep the list short for your review. Check out the five collections that impressed me the most at the Pakistan Fashion Week Doha 2015.
Prominent Designers from Pakistan Fashion Week Doha
Let’s start the list with the most sought after designer who steals the show wherever he goes. Deepak Perwani’s magic was all over the PFW Doha. His collection “New Vintage” was a perfect combination of luxurious fabric in bold and jewel toned colors and silhouettes.
Ali Xeeshan brought with him a kaleidoscope of vibrant hues adorned with rich embellishments that kept the audience captivated as long as the models stayed on the ramp. No matter how much I say about this exquisite collection, it would not do justice to his efforts to put up an exhilarating high end fashion line, which he successfully did. Check out the highlights of the collection here.
Maria Rao’s collection “Mariposa” was an epitome of ultra sophistication. She skillfully played around with colorful butterflies, polka dots and eye-catching floral patterns to make her collection look aesthetically pleasant and nailed it effortlessly.
Soothing colors, luxe fabric and amazing intricate embroidery are the right words to define this uber stylish collection by Zainab Chottani. She flawlessly combined all three aforementioned essential ingredients and came up with a strikingly beautiful collection of formal and bridal attires.
HSY never ceases to amaze his fans, and guess what? He did not disappoint his followers this time as well. HSY showcased collections for men and women which were dominated by vibrant colors, contemporary belts and a huge variety of designs. Tunic tops, gowns, and short shirts were the highlights of his collection. Imran Abbas was the show stopper for HSY.
To sum it all up, the Pakistan Fashion Week Doha proved itself to be an excellent platform for fashionistas and designers to come forward and create awareness about the latest trends. Besides, the show received praise and positive remarks from the international fashion fraternity which is a good omen for the Pakistani fashion industry.
I see more international fashion shows coming up for our fashion gurus in the upcoming days. Gear up, you all already!
