Performance wise, Badrinath Ki Dulhania belongs to Varun Dhawan and Aalia Bhatt without any slightest doubt. Varun looks charming, sweet and in intense sequences he excels with flawlessness. His dance moves are killer. Aalia carries the movie on her able shoulders. Her composed emotions will be loved by audience. Aalia has attitude and she knows how to carry it and transform into her character. Sahil Vaid as Badri’s friend is commendable, in some scenes he excels remarkably. Ritu Raj Singh as Badri’s father is effective.

Direction wise Badrinath Ki Dulhania is good. Dialogues of the movie are fresh, clap worthy and realistic. The music of BKD is okay and goes with mood of the movie. There are emotional tracks as well as peppy song like Aashiq Surender which brings back the memories of Govinde-Raveena starrer songs from late 90’s and early 2000’s. Tamma Tamma Again is loved by cine-goers, it’s choreographed very nicely.

Tamma Tamma Again: Badrinath Ki Dulhania

The subject of Badrinath Ki Dulhania is very serious and the treatment is wonderful. It is actually an example of a sugarcoated medicine, the movie talks about women empowerment, “Say no to dowry” and gender equality. The storytelling keeps audience engaged.

In terms of content, entertainment and performance, Badrinath Ki Dulhania is recommended.
